“Puppies always available.” Hmmm.
As people look for a new family dog, they often they search online or in the newspaper. They then zero in on a few ads and the breed they are looking for. You are supposed to feel good because it says, “puppies raised in our home.” For me, the alarms go off in my head when the same ad or website lists four other breeds of puppies which are also available. I am equally concerned when I read ads that say “puppies always available.” These places sound a bit like puppy mills to me. Puppies should be showered with love and attention from their earliest moments on. A good home environment during the first 8 weeks ensures that the pup will make a good transition to your home. I worry whether or not someone who is churning our puppies is truly able to provide them with the care that they desperately need and deserve. Perhaps… or perhaps not. Enjoy your dog. I am sure that he or she is enjoying you.
