Areas Of Charlotte Dog Training

Potty Training: By teaching the right household manners, Canine Communications creates a lifetime of success for your dog. During this early phase of development, puppies quickly learn what is desired of them. As an owner, you’ll need to do your part too! Our training methods establish potty habits to match your daily schedule. Our techniques are adapted to create good habits for older dogs as well.

Puppy Training: Successfully training your puppy will have a positive and lasting effect on their development and your relationship with them. Canine Communications recognizes that it is easiest to influence your dog’s behavior during this period and we utilize practical and natural techniques in our puppy training.

Obedience Dog Training: By customizing our training programs, our techniques quickly provide owner and canine harmony. Using positive reinforcement in our Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Obedience Dog Training Programs, we achieve the desired results and put you in step with your canine companion.

Dog Aggression – Fear Aggression: Dog Aggression is often the result of poor socialization as a puppy, abuse from former owners and can also be inherent within a breed. You know the signs – excessive barking, biting, jumping, growling, etc – behaviors that characterize fear and anxiety. Regardless of the cause or behavior, a dog’s mistrust and anxiety will only grow worse. Canine Communications has particular expertise dealing with dog aggression behavioral issues. We tailor our training program to address your dog’s fear aggression issue. In doing so we are able to control anxiety and increase trust – relieving the aggression.

Canine Communications Dog Aggression Training Programs Also Address:
• Rescue dog issues
• Dog on dog aggression
• Treatment of children
• Adults – establishing your position as the “alpha dog”
• Leash aggression

Socialization: Dog Socialization is an essential element of training at Canine Communications. It ensures that as your dog grows older, she will continue to interact well with new people and dogs rather than fearing them. At our spacious 5 acre outdoor facility, we can introduce your dog to other animals as well – dogs, miniature horses and Egor, our famous donkey. We find that this aspect of training enhances canine socialization.

Biting: Nipping and Biting are aggressive behaviors where a dog uses his teeth to get what he wants. Dogs know how to interact with one another but can lack understanding in how to act with humans. Dogs are pack animals. At Canine Communications our training methods confirm that you are the pack leader of the family and your dog is the low ranking member of the pack. Most behaviors can be quickly remedied.

Separation Anxiety: About 10% of all dogs experience Separation Anxiety. It’s the cause for many dog behavioral problems such as barking, chewing, digging, pushing, jumping, etc. Does your dog follow you everywhere you go and begin showing distress as you prepare to leave? Is your canine a Rescue Dog? If you answered is yes, our training methods can re-establish you as the pack leader and in doing so relieve your dog’s anxiety.

Tracking: This is a very advanced form of dog training. Bruce Allen is one of only a number of NC professional dog trainers who is trained in this field. The American kennel Club best explains Tracking this way: “With a keen sense of smell – 100,000 times stronger than humans – dogs are often used to find lost people and animals, drugs, avalanche and disaster victims, and even to detect cancer. AKC Tracking is a canine sport that demonstrates a dog’s natural ability to recognize and follow a scent…”

Search and Rescue: Like Tracking, this is a very advanced form of dog training. Bruce Allen one of only a number of NC professional dog trainers trained in this field. These dogs are the most specialized of any trained dog. SAR Training is a gradual process customized to the dog because each dog responds differently to each training challenge.
